Two unfiled tax years, an existing IRS balance, and inconsistent business records. The taxpayer cannot afford to pay the balance in full.
Verify the Account
What does the IRS actually show?
Review transcripts, notices, posted payments, assessments, and missing return information. The account balance may need to be reconciled before developing a strategy.

Questions & Resources
Understand Your Options Before Taking Action.
Tax problems often come with unfamiliar terminology and confusing choices. Here are answers to a few common questions.
Can I settle my IRS debt for less than I owe?
Possibly. An Offer in Compromise may allow eligible taxpayers to resolve certain liabilities for less than the full amount. The IRS evaluates financial information, compliance, and other eligibility criteria. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
Can the IRS remove tax penalties?
Certain penalties may qualify for first-time or other administrative relief, or for reasonable-cause abatement. Eligibility depends on the penalty, tax period, compliance history, and supporting facts.
Do I have to file missing returns before resolving my debt?
Filing compliance is often required for IRS collection alternatives. We review your filing history to determine which returns need attention and the appropriate sequence of work.
Can Nirvana communicate with the IRS on my behalf?
For matters within our services, authorized representation may be available after we establish a signed engagement and obtain the required authorization, such as an appropriate power of attorney.
What if I received a final notice or levy warning?
Read the entire notice immediately, including its specific deadline and response instructions. Some notices involve important collection appeal or Tax Court rights. Do not wait for a consultation if doing so could cause you to miss a deadline.
